Therapeutic Treatments and Sports Injury Physiotherapy

Medistone Bodywork
Medistone is a unique treatment with dramatic results. It can help with neck, back and shoulder problems, sciatica, sports injuries, shin splints, plantar fasciitis (foot pain), stress, and sinusitis to mention a few.
Medistone uses a combination of Remedial Massage, Thermal Stone Therapy, Shiatsu and Electro Therapy. Resting painful muscles is not the answer. When a muscle starts to repair it creates scar tissue and other adhesions which glue the damaged fibres together. If left untreated the damaged muscles becomes rigid and loses elasticity. A good blood supply is essential to the repair process in damaged tissue but this is will not happen with rest. We have hundreds of clients from the ages of 10 to 92 who have benefited from Medistone.

Physiotherapy
With more moving parts than any machine it’s not surprising that our bodies don’t always function as we would like them too.
Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function by using a variety of techniques to help your muscles and joints work to their full capacity.

Body Balance M.O.T.
A body imbalance can be the cause of many muscle and skeletal problems and the result is PAIN. A Body Balance M.O.T. can detect problems before they occur. Most muscular and joint problems develop and go undetected until it is serious enough to cause not only pain but disability. You will be given a computerised gait test on the treadmill, followed by further biomechanical tests, and then some massage techniques are used to detect any tight muscles, tendons and ligaments. Advice is then given to get back in to balance.
Thermal Stone Massage
Hot and Cold Stone Massage is a unique experience through which you will experience a deeply profound healing sensation like nothing else.
The direct heat from the basalt stones relaxes the muscles and expands the blood vessels, pushing blood and unwanted waste through the body. This also has a sedative effect on the nervous system. The cool stones cause the blood vessels to constrict, stimulating the nervous system. It increases the lymphatic flow moving waste material that sometimes gets static in the body. It also helps to move inflammation and other toxic fluids. The whole body gets a workout and promotes good health, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energised.

Tri-Force
Tri-Force is an energy lifting treatment that works on the three energy centres: - mental, emotional and physical, and the pathways that link them together.
It is deeply rooted in the philosophies of China, India, Japan and Egypt.
The receiver wears loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and relaxes whilst lying on a futon. The treatment includes massage, manipulation, point holding, cupping, mobilising and gentle stretches. Tri-Force stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems, and removes rigidity from muscles and tendons. Stagnant energy is released and the participant will feel the free flow of energy. It also improves joint mobility, releases stress and tension, and leaves the receiver feeling energised yet relaxed.

He was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teaching after many years of study. Today Reiki continues to be taught by Rieki Masters who have trained in a tradition passed down from Master to student. A Reiki practitioner is a channel which the energy is drawn through by the need or imbalance in the recipient.
